PRESTIGIO FC
Prestigio was first established in early April 2008 by a group of football hooligans who have just ended their time and effort serving the nation. We decided to form up a football team as a mean of staying together through bonding. We started to test ourselves by organising friendly matches and started to recruit players. Unfortunately, some of our players had to leave the team due to work and family commitments. With 20 players currently, we have joined the D2D Sunday League for 5 seasons.
Having played in the league, we have tremendously improved and we have a good team spirit for glory. We will unite and fight, look to win every game, and always give our best on the field. So cheers to all players from Prestigio and other football lovers!

442 FC 3-2 Prestigio
Scorers: Yan, Rusydi
Assists: Sadiq

Prestigio were denied on their track towards 3 points when the referee decided not to give a clear foul which resulted in 442's third goal.
in the first half, prestigio were totally outplayed and went down to two silly goals. the lack of match practice clearly showed throughout the game.
but in the second half, Prestigio looked well superior and were on their way to a scoring spree after two very quick goals in the second half. both goals saw some outstanding play from Sadiq, Yan, Rusydi and Jon.
Sadiq provided a perfect cross for Yan to place it into the net, before Rusydi picked up a loose ball after some neat play by Yan and Jon. Rusydi hammered the ball into the low right corner of the net. Inspiring as he is in the midfield, Prestigio certainly lacked quality at the back without Rusydi.
Zai provided another quality performance at goal but a controversial goal did not do him any favours.
Jaz suffered a mysterious finger injury where it bled and had to be subtituted and will likely miss Prestigio's next few games. he joins the injury list with Galito, who has been sorely missed for the past 3 months with an ankle injury.
with that, Prestigio has lost their opening games for the past 4 seasons. Manager Kecyk had some words of encouragement for the team after the game, "i know it sucks to lose the first game, but we'll make it the first and the last."
it is still indeed a long way to go, and Prestigio can still aim high this season.
442 FC vs Prestigio
25th Oct, Orchid Park Sec, 3pm
As we look forward to our much awaited opening game of the season this weekend, we have to analyse how our last season went and how we can be prepared for the new season.
We have a very poor record of starting the season with a win. We've lost all opening games in 3 seasons consecutively. that is a very worrying issue, as we could have won the title had it not been for the poor start. obviously there is a need for everyone and every player to rally and provide a strong display and great hunger to grind out a win, as we had a long rest and we should get ourselves in shape.
Another worrying sign is the inability of having enough players for the start of the season. the missing players in the opening games have not done us a favour, and we need to ensure that players are disciplined and committed to the team (if not there is no use and meaning of paying $10 in every match!).
With that, we saw some brilliant display of football once we got our rhythm going and therefore we MUST NOT be COMPLACENT when we're leading. there had been too many teams that got away with a late goal and drew the game and that has to stop.
if we are to challenge in the Div 2 we will have to
- play it simple
- be disciplined
- not commit silly fouls and blunders
- stay focused
- come for every game
may we start the season with a BANG
Yesterday's final match of Season 3 saw FC Simpang defeating promotion contenders FZE 5-2. As a result, Prestigio achieved the last promotion spot into Div 2 through a superior goal difference against FZE. FC Simpang were crowned champions and they have joined Div 1. Prestigio joined Huat FC and FC Tempastella into a Div 2 league where Prestigio have faced familiar foes including New Eastroids, Renaissance FC and 442 FC.
With that, Prestigio have put on their best season yet, and having become one of the top scoring team in the 4 divisions, there are definitely good signs that this club is moving forward.
