PRESTIGIO FC
Prestigio was first established in early April 2008 by a group of football hooligans who have just ended their time and effort serving the nation. We decided to form up a football team as a mean of staying together through bonding. We started to test ourselves by organising friendly matches and started to recruit players. Unfortunately, some of our players had to leave the team due to work and family commitments. With 20 players currently, we have joined the D2D Sunday League for 5 seasons.
Having played in the league, we have tremendously improved and we have a good team spirit for glory. We will unite and fight, look to win every game, and always give our best on the field. So cheers to all players from Prestigio and other football lovers!

It was announced yesterday that Rusydi will be out for at least a month due to a twisted knee he suffered during the cup game against 1980s. the key player's absence will certainly impact Prestigio and other defenders will now have to step up their game.
Central Defenders Zai and Handri will have to be at their best for the next few games and will need to show some of the desperate defending they did last week in order to survive.
Rusydi joins long-time absentee Galito, who has yet to declare or set a date on his return to action following his lengthy layoff since last season.

13/12/09, Commonwealth Sec
Prestigio 2-2 1980s United
Scorers: Farhan, Hakim
Assists: Hakim, Sentosa
Prestigio’s League Cup quest got going as they fought to a tough draw against a strong 1980s side who showed their intentions throughout the game with plenty of chances to win the game.
Prestigio started off very poorly and nervously, and were on the backfoot for most of the game. An early terrific stop from Jaz seemed to have denied 1980s an early goal, but on the 15th minute 1980s got off the mark after a player shook off the challenge from Hafiz to cut in field and score. It didn’t take long before Prestigio leveled things, as Hakim whipped in a cross in which Farhan scored in similar fashion to the famous Eric Cantona kungfu kick.
At this stage Prestigio looked very much at home, until a crucial blow occurred for Prestigio when star defender Rusydi had to go off due to a recurrence of his knee injury he suffered against Huat FC last season. Despite that setback, Prestigio managed to turn the game around and Hakim scored a volley from the back after 1980s failed to deal with Sentosa’s new threat of ‘Rory Delap Throw-ins’.
In the second half however, Prestigio had to do some desperate defending and waves of attack continue to come to them. It was almost inevitable that a goal will come, despite showing that they can clear their lines. The goal was unfortunately to be a fluke goal due to a calamity by Jaz, who returned to play for the first time since injuring his finger during Prestigio’s season opener. Prestigio are starting to think whether the calamities will return this season.
Despite the setbacks, Prestigio are still in the running to finish top in the group. They need to make sure that they beat Team Tsubasa and hope Tsubasa can hold 1980s to at least a draw, or hope that the margin in which Prestigio beat Tsubasa is bigger than the margin in which 1980s beat Tsubasa.
Prestigio have now gone on a 5 game unbeaten run, winning 2 and drawing 3.

the draw looks daunting but we believe that we can overcome this group and top the group. the scenario now is if we top the group, we will be facing the winners of group J, which looks most likely to be Tempastella.
If we managed to win against the winners of group J, we have the probability of facing either Raven Utd or the OC in the quarter-finals.
The fixtures will be announced soon. do check us out for updates.
OPOD News Center - D2D management have announced that the D2D Sun League Cup will take on a brand new format this season with the expansion of the league to 36 teams. The first round of games for the tournament will take place on the 13th of December.
The first round of games will see all 36 teams split into 12 groups of 3 teams, where teams in each group will then play each other in a round-robin format. There will only be 1 leg for round-robin group stage.
A total of 16 teams will qualify from Round 1. These 16 teams will be made up of:
1. The winners of each of the 12 groups (12 teams)
2. The best 4 runners-up from this 12 groups. (4 teams)
For the best 4 runners-up, in the event where there is a tie on all fronts: points, goal difference and goals scored, the team with a lower placing in the league will progress. For example, for teams from different divisions, the higher division team will progress and for teams in the same division, the higher placed team will progress. This is to act as an encouragement for lower placed teams performing as well as the higher placed teams in the league.
There will also be seeding for the first 12 teams to ensure that there is a balanced distribution of top division teams in the first round. The 12 seeded teams are:
1. The OC (Div 1)
2. Nitroz (Div 1)
3. Raven Utd (Div 1)
4. Mammoet FC (Div 1)
5. Oogleeee boys (Div 1)
6. Apex Rangers (Div 1)
7. FC Simpang (Div 1)
8. Team BI (Div 1)
9. New Eastroids (Div 2)
10. 442 FC (Div 2)
11. Team Prestigio FC (Div 2)
12. FC Tempastella (Div 2)
The draw for the rest of the groups will take place this Sunday at Bowen Secondary school, 3pm. All team managers whose teams do not have a game this weekend are welcomed to join the D2D management in the draw.
To Prestigio: Since we are first seeds in the group, we will be likely to have 2 teams from lower divisions in our group. The draw will be made at Bowen Sec. Our win against Huat FC proved to be much more than a win, with us moving to third in the league, we were awarded with being the first seed in the groupings. WELL DONE

Prestigio 6-2 Huat FC
Scorers: Kecyk, Farhan(2), Alfa(2), Sadiq
Assists: Abang Yus, Yan(2)

Prestigio made it 3 wins out of 3 against a depleted Huat FC who always looked in danger of conceding everytime Prestigio had posession. Prestigio certainly knows how to defeat Huat, and they've yet again showed their hunger for goals, scoring 20 goals in 5 matches this season. This time, Yan did not score for Prestigio, but he provided some good assists for his teamates.
Kecyk, making his return to the side, scored a nice early goal for Prestigio in the 13th minute with a sweet half volley from close range. despite not playing for numerous games, he still showed his lethal instincts in front of goal, though in the second half his movement was rather questionable when he was one on one with the goalkeeper.
Alfa got his season going and returned to the form that made him Prestigio's player of last season, by scoring two goals, one was a brilliant finish with his left foot. It would take much more from Alfa this season if he is going to retain his crown, as Yan has been the constant threat this season with his goals, and also Zai producing some fine performances at goal could be the dark horse.
The Prestigio midfield wasted many opportunities to play good football, with poor decision making and poor pitch conditions not making things easier for them. Second half display from Prestigio was much better. For the first time this season Prestigio were able to play Yan, Sentosa, Alfa, Sadiq, Drogba, Hakim and Farhan in attack, which resulted in some free flowing football and plenty of opportunities at goal.
However, there were a few worrying signs in the game.
1. Prestigio didn't shift to a higher gear and looked complacent at times.
2. a 3-5-2 system is a system that requires alot of support from backtracking midfielders to help the defence when defending. only Hafiz made a genuine attempt to backtrack, and it was almost as if Prestigio played a 3-1-6 formation. and with that, Prestigio were sometimes outnumbered in defence and that resulted in the 2 goals Huat scored.
These are problems that needs to be adressed in the next game, on the other hand, congratulations on a convincing win. Prestigio have moved to third on the table, and with a game in hand, it looks as if Prestigio will be up as the league comes to its midway point.
